David Casey CEO & Co-Founder
David is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Resource.
Throughout his career, David has focused on utilizing blockchain technology and ecosystem coordination to promote systemic change and socio-economic transformation. He occupied several Chief Executive positions, led successful teams, and served as a consultant to local governments.
Prior to his position as Resource CEO, David has founded two other companies, and has focused on leveraging digital technologies in travel, finance, and commerce. In addition, David helped scale a decentralized e-commerce ecosystem to eight-digit revenue. David has applied blockchain and crypto towards real-world business use cases across his entrepreneurial career, since 2015.
David also serves as an advisor to Socialstack, a social money protocol that powers open and inclusive creator-driven economies. David helped build the core team, prototype the company’s MVP on the Ethereum blockchain, and advised on fundraising, go-to-market strategy, finance management, community building, and protocol development. David also advises Gane, A virtual mobile carrier with a mission to deliver free mobile internet to Latin America.
David aims to create inclusive financial solutions that are easily accessible and has given public talks in over 20 countries to this effect. He also served as a consultant to the local government of the Kisoro District in Uganda, where he advised on infrastructure development, and potential DLT applications.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Political Economy, Global Poverty & Practice from the University of California, Berkeley.
