As a Certified Public Accountant with a PgD in Finance, Joaquin led and advised financial investments and credit projects with an aggregated value of over 1 Billion USD in the fields of Agriculture, Energy, and Fintech. Throughout his career, Joaquin gathered extensive experience in Finance, Business Development, and Social Impact Investment, focusing on innovation and performance-enhancing data-driven insights.
Joaquin worked with a wide array of international projects as Financial Consultant, Business Operations Led, Investments Coordinator and Credit Officer. Within his academic career, Joaquin served as Administration and Finance Professor at the ORT University of Uruguay.
In his private life, Joaquin is a social and political activist, investing considerable efforts in improving the lives of people around him. Joaquin led Social Impact Investments across South America at Oikocredit, an International Financial Cooperative. For over four years he volunteered at TECHO - a nonprofit organization that mobilizes youth volunteers to fight extreme poverty in Latin America, by constructing transitional housing and implementing social inclusion programs.
As a member of the Digital Party of Uruguay, Joaquin assists the operations the party, organized around the principles of Liquid Democracy.
Joaquin is a Postgraduate in Finance and Financial Administration at the ORT University of Uruguay, holds a Micro-Master Degree in Data Science from UC San DiegoX, and is a Certified Public Accountant by ORT University.
